The Kejriwal Institute of
Management and Development has started weekly
BUSINESS QUIZ
Contest for its first year Students from 22nd
February 2010.
The objective of the program is to develop quick
reflex action of students to recapitulate the concepts
/ terminologies related to management and Business
world which they have studied in their class room or
Library.
The Institute has decided to give awards to one
Student every week who scores highest marks out of
total 100 questions every week. This will encourage
the students to give extensive and attentive studies
in class and Library so that they can internalize and
recall the concepts/ terms of Management and business
quickly when required.

Approach to life and profession: As a Police officer I
have dealt with poverty and its consequences,
throughout my career: I have
defended the weak against the strong; the voiceless
against the powerful. I am now teaching Human Rights
to a small group of
post-graduate students at St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi
, building some assets in Human Rights activism.

H. C. CHOUDHARY |

Prof. H.C. Chaudhary, former Head & Dean,
Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu
University obtained his Ph.D. degree in
Management on “Consumer Protection in India
”after completing MBM (Marketing) and M.Sc.
(Psychology) from Banaras Hindu University.
Prof. Chaudhary’s areas of specialization are
Knowledge Management, Marketing and Human
Resource Development. He was deputed to the
Institute of Management, Tribhuwan University,
Kathmandu (Nepal) by the Ministry of External
Affairs, Government of India for one years under
the Colombo Plan in 1983-84. He is a life member
of the Indian Marketing Association.
Prof. Chaudhary has to his credit many research
papers that have been published in the leading
professional journals and periodicals. He has
authored two books namely “Management Education
in India; Past, Present and Future” and
“Knowledge Management for competitive
Advantage”. He has published 46 research papers
in reputed management journals.
Prof. Chaudhary has conducted and coordinated
several Management Development Programmes and
Quality Improvement Programmes and has attended
many conferences and seminars.
After taking the charge as the Dean of the
Faculty of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu
University in year 2004, he brought many changes
in the Faculty. He was instrumental in bringing
two leading industrialist, i.e, Shri Brij Mohan
Lall Munjal, Chairman, Hero Honda Group and Shri
Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman Aditya Birla
Group to Banaras Hindu University in the
Convocation of the Faculty of Management Studies
and Faculty of Commerce in year 2004.
Besides, he has also invited many other
industrialists to the Faculty. A few of them are
Mr. O.N. Singh, Chairman & Managing Director,
Allahabad Bank; Mr. R.P. Singh, Chairman &
Managing Director, Power Grid Corporation of
India, Mr. B.D. Narang, Chairman & Managing
Director, Oriental Bank of Commerce and Mr. M.V.
Nair, Chairman & Managing Director, Dena Bank.
During Prof. Chaudhary’s tenure of Deanship, an
MoU was signed between BHU and Allahabad Bank
for institution of a Chair of Professor in the
Faculty.
Prof. Chaudhary was honored with “Rotary
Vocational Excellence Awards” by Rotary Club
International. Recently he conducted a
Motivational Session on theme “Get Inspired by
Chak ! De India”. This session was much
appreciated by Media in Varanasi.
As a result of academic and administrative
initiatives/efforts taken by Prof. H.C.
Chaudhary, the Faculty of Management Studies,
Banaras Hindu University was Ranked 4th in
University B-Schools in India in year 2006.
Prof. Chaudhary is presently Coordinator of DRS
1 – Special Assistance Programme (SAP) – Thrust
area : Entrepreneurship Development – (funded by
University Grants Commission) at FMS, BHU.
